In 2010, Matt started Xeroxr, a photography blog that was his first step in becoming a curator. The blog transformed into an online publication in November of 2010 when Matt launched a website including interviews, featured artist profiles and exhibition reviews. Xeroxr, later being renamed XRXR, went on to receive 2 grants in January of 2011: one from OCAD U and one from F.E.A.S.T. to fund future printed publication projects. It has since been put on hiatus so that he can pursue his curatorial interests.
Following the launch of the Xeroxr site, Matt has had a number of great opportunities as a curator. He has held the position of curator at the OCAD U Student Gallery for 3 years, been the Curator's Assistant at The Print Center in Philadelphia, and worked as the Blog Coordinator at Xpace Cultural Centre. Matt received the Senior (4th year) award for Critical Inquiry in Photography from the University Of The Arts in Philadelphia while there on exchange in his 3rd year.
